The native honeybees that live in and around the Nyungwe forest where the coffee is grown are said to be responsible in part to the unique profile this coffee has. This lot is specifically selected from the Women-owned farms in the coop which are located in the Cyato sector of the Nayamasheke district. A premium is paid directly to the women above and beyond the quality premium paid.

Recommended for espresso...but what do we know?

*This coffee was exposed to a dry anaerobic fermentation period of 72 hours with the pulp on. During this fermentation stage, dried nectarines were added. The coffee cherries were then pulped and placed to dry on raised beds until the ideal moisture content was achieved.
